Abstrak

Setiap reaksi kimia memiliki perbandingan zat yang teratur, sehingga jumlah pereaksi dan produk dapat dihitung secara tepat sebelum atau sesudah reaksi berlangsung. Stoikiometri menjadi dasar perhitungan kuantitatif dalam kimia karena menghubungkan persamaan reaksi setara dengan konsep mol, massa molar, koefisien reaksi, dan hukum kekekalan massa. Pemahaman terhadap stoikiometri membantu menentukan kebutuhan bahan, jumlah produk yang terbentuk, pereaksi pembatas, hasil teoritis, serta efisiensi suatu reaksi. Kajian ini membahas stoikiometri sebagai landasan penting dalam memahami reaksi kimia secara terukur, sekaligus meninjau penerapannya dalam kegiatan laboratorium, proses industri, dan berbagai perhitungan kimia yang membutuhkan ketepatan jumlah zat.
